I am now a ‘Resident Artist’ with the “Internet Players” in downtown Davenport, Quad Cities, Iowa. This is an international grassroots non-profit arts organization begat by Artistic Director Nathan Porteshawver.

We’re workin with Davenport ‘BASICS’ (Bridging Arts Strategies In Community Schools) which is an arts advocacy group for the Davenport Community School District. With a grant from the Kennedy Center We have created the “Our World” project. The goal of “Our World” is to create an annual theatrical production by giving “under-served” (and “at-risk”) students the opportunity to work alongside professional artists and educators from all the art elements (studio/visual, dance, music, theater, etc.). I will be painting murals, and making lots of work with myself and collaboratively, as well as displaying and selling my current art work at our “Gallery Theatre” studio located at 421 Brady Street, Davenport, on the 2nd floor of Hibernian Hall (built in 1891). Its downtown so you know its snappin! Heres what the place looks like (past & presently).

There will also be a ‘Grand Opening Art/Theater Exhibition‘ called “Introduction To Space” featuring the paintings, sculpture and music of Thomas Magdi Awad, The paintings of Liz Davenport, the murals of Gary White, Charlie Pollmiller, and the murals, paintings, and ceramics of Yours Truly. Also featuring theatrical performances by actor/director Nathan Porteshawver, Kelsey Nagel and Tom Taylor. It’s all goin down at “Gallery Theater” Studio in Downtown Davenport – FRIDAY & SATURDAY, MAY 27th & 28th! (Some name changes possible). Time to get bizzy.
